Recalled to serve part 23

Kevin sighed and began to relate to Kasia how Bronski had told him about Kasim following them back to Poland, and how Kasim appeared to be intent on revenge. Kasia stood mesmerised, A surprised and fearful “Oh no” was all she could say. Kevin sat smiling and began to tell her how he had hunted through Warsaw to find Kasim. “It was quite amusing really when I did find him, he was holed up in a whorehouse in the outskirts of the city, and he spotted me coming and made a dash out the rear of the brothel running for the old commercial railway sidings. As you may or may not know they aren’t used anymore. Except for the railway preservation society that runs the old restored trains there. He was dodging in and out of the old carriages, and just as I lined up for a clear shot at him one of the old armoured trains came up behind me and passed so close I lost my grip on my Walther gun, Kasim had made the mistake of using this moment to turn and run. As it happened right into the path of another train travelling in the opposite direction, by the time it had passed there wasn’t much left of him on the tracks. So ends Kasim and any living threat to you and your son.” Kevin stood up and took Kasia in his arms and soothed her saying “it’s all over now, your free“. It was about a month later as Kevin and Kasia and Magic climbed into the car, the few personal things Kevin had with him and the belongings Kasia counted to personal to leave to the house packers Kevin had hired were in the car with them, and off they set to their new life. “It’s a long drive but we will make plenty of pit stops on the way and we will even have time to go a little out of our way and visit your brother as we travel”. True to Kevin’s word it had been a long but enjoyable journey two weeks in all to travel about three thousand miles back to the UK and the beginning of a new life for them all in the new home Kevin had bought many years earlier right beside the sea with a rear gate leading out on the small sandy beach in a quiet cove near a small village in Ireland.

As Kevin had been the only one with any paper identification Kasia left it to him to organise and hire a car to take them to Athens and the regional office, there she could hand Beata over to Bronski’s operatives who would take care of her and return her home to her family in Warsaw. As it would soon turn out, things were not going to be so simple much to Kasia’s dismay. Thinking ahead Kasia asked Kevin to find a local hotel and suggested they stay there for the night. Arriving at the cliff top hotel Kevin pulled his tote bag from the boot of the hired car, it was an old Mercedes diesel and when it had reached halfway up the hill towards the hotel so much smoke was pouring from the exhaust that it completely wiped out any sign of the road behind. Entering the hotel the party approached the reception desk. The manager a fat short man with what Kasia thought was the most terrible moustache she had ever seen. “Ah hello Mr Smith, I was correct in guessing the make-up of you party, I have put your beautiful daughter in a single room and given you and your lovely wife the best connecting double room next door.” Kevin was just about to object when Kasia tugged at his arm, sensing more than seeing that Beata was happy about the room allocation she whispered to Kevin “let it go.” Following the manager they made their way to the rooms, Beata was exhausted both physically and mentally, at this she cried off going for something to eat, Kevin warned her to keep her door locked at all time and open it only to either him or Kasia and then only after they had given the prearranged code word. Kasia headed for the shower and a clean-up. Both had cleaned up well and Kevin suggested to Kasia she take his card and go see what the hotels boutique held in the way of ladies garments for her, skipping off very quickly Kasia headed downstairs and shopping always something to distract a lady with a problem. Kevin was his usual fastidious self when it came to his personal hygiene. Kasia had returned from shopping and could hear Kevin humming a little Irish ditty she knew so well from him, slipping out of her dress and changing from the skin out she was just fumbling with the rear zipper on the dress when Kevin left the bathroom, nothing but a towel wrapped around him he gave a long slow whistle as Kasia pirouetted in front of him. “Let’s go eat and perhaps a short walk before bed to settle our digestion down,” suggested Kevin. Kasia had to turn away as she mumbled “yes a good idea”, Kasia had felt her face began to redden and couldn’t understand why, as lovers they had seen each other naked before, but now Kasia could feel butterflies in her stomach, she dismissed it as hunger pains but knew better. Having eaten a hearty meal and Kevin as always had ordered for both of them, starting with Orektiko as an appetizer. Then moving on to the main course Apáki a beautifully prepared dish of lean pork marinated in vinegar, then smoked with aromatic herbs and shrubs, and packed in salt. Kasia was beside herself as always Kevin had won his way to her heart through her stomach, it was all too much for her, “enough Kevin I couldn’t eat another thing, no not even the Karydopita,” this was a cake of crushed walnuts, soaked in syrup. Agreeing to disagree he got up came round the table to Kasia and helped her leave the table removing her chair as he did, dashing and a gentleman as always thought Kasia to herself, but that was Kevin’s winning way with the ladies it was how he had caught her the first time she remembered, “The concierge has told me there is a beautiful walk across the cliff path to a vantage point overlooking the islands I thought you might like a stroll that way, just to walk off the meal I mean”, The pair set of at a moderate pace up the steps leading to the old and somewhat worn path along the cliff edge. They had rounded a bend when Kasia leading had stepped towards the cliff edge calling to Kevin “look at the moon, isn’t it beautiful so full and round and bright” Kevin said nothing but stepped forward grabbing Kasia by the arm and pulling her roughly away from the edge, just as a piece of ground that had been under her foot gave way and slipped down into the water far below. Kevin worried about Kasia so near the edge had pulled harder than he thought and stumbled back onto the path at the same time catching his foot on a half-buried rock. Falling backwards and pulling Kasia down on top of him as he went, even then letting her fall on top of him rather than risk her hurting herself in the fall. Lying atop of Kevin she could feel his breath on her exposed neck, hot and moist she was overcome with breathlessness, Kevin laid the making no attempt at getting up and as Kasia turned her head towards him her lips all but brushing his as they stared into each other eyes, it seemed to Kasia she was sinking in a sea of warm comforting water her emotions were rising up and flooding over her, her lions were heating up in a way they hadn’t for many years. Kevin gently placed one of his arms around the back of her head and pulling her down to meet his lips by the last few centimetres, as Kasia tasted Kevin’s lips on her for the first time in years she gave in and succumbed to her feelings, they lay there kissing for the longest time. It was Kasia that eventually gave in and gently sat up and began undressing claiming she didn’t want to spoil her nice new dress, Kevin’s smile was golden in the moonlight, he watched as Kasia freed her perfect breasts and reached up tenderly to touch them gently caressing them, Kasia was silhouetted and outlined in the moonrise behind her. Kevin was mesmerised as she dropped her dress and the nearly panties she was wearing, sitting up now still cupping her breasts in both his hands Kevin began to make up for lost time and stripped hurriedly to catch up with the now naked Kasia. Lying back down Kasia now underneath Kevin and gently massaging his manhood, Kasia guided him to her “little cave of love” as Kevin had always called it. Slowly they made love in the moonlight no haste or frantic groping, just gentle and slow. Lying in each other’s arms Kasia felt an afterglow and looked at Kevin’s face the smile of satisfaction told her all she needed to know. It was long after midnight and halfway along the beach that was a forefront to the Hotel Sofitel Grand Sopot. The moon was slowly drifting across the sky, intermittently hidden by clouds of sliver scuttling in the opposite direction blown along by an unfelt wind high above, its gentle light turning the sand to a silver in the darkness of the night, the waves broke ever so gently up the beach each time landing with a quiet swish of water along the whole shore front, and the retreating water carried small pebbles down the beach each chasing after the receding water, all of it adding to the cacophony of small sounds. Kasia drank in every second of it the noise like a full orchestra playing quietly yet building to a crescendo that never came, the bark from her dog Bambi broke her revere and adding to it was her son Magic chasing the retreating waves on the beach, both Magic and Kevin frolicking and cavorting near the waves, and Magic yelling at the top of his voice at each return of water, both of them avoiding the waves where they could and at other times being caught in the tidal rush up the beach. Kevin rushed up the beach to stand just behind her hands on her shoulders, she turned just as he bent down a little to plant a kiss on her forehead. Kasia turned back to watch her child play and rested into Kevin’s enfolding arms, she felt a little shiver, and not a feeling of cold but of a little fear this idyllic night would end all too soon. Six months had passed and Kasia was at home enjoying a peaceful weekend, her son Magic was playing in the garden with the two dogs and Kasia could hear them clearly through the open window as she cleaned her home. At first Kasia didn’t notice the deep throaty roar of a performance engine as it drew near the house. Then it stood out quite clearly, it passed the rear of the house and slowed rumbling as that type of engine does. Kasia’s heart leaped in her chest, there was only one person she knew that drove a car anything like that, and she hadn’t seen him since the end of the assignment six months previously. He had entered Bronski’s office and she herself had been whisked away to a luxurious hotel for the night returning home the next day. All be it considerably richer for her trip abroad. “Kevin” cried Kasia joyously and in the same breath thought to hell with him. Beginning to seethe with anger at the thought Kevin had decided to show himself at last Kasia rushed from the room. If he thinks for one minute I am going to throw myself at him boy is he in for a surprise. As Kasia reached the back of the house she heard Kevin’s broken Polish calling to Magic. She ripped the door open to see Kevin partially kneeling beside Magic with a large parcel in his hands. Both the dogs were at heel on the ground beside Magic as Kasia had taught her son to control them, unseen by Kevin Kasia began to walk towards them both. “Mama” shouted Magic “look I have a gift from your friend” Kevin pirouetted where her knelt a smile spreading slowly across his face at the sight of Kasia, Kasia was distraught not know whether to attack Kevin or throw her arms around him and hug him close. Seeing Kevin so close now she gave in to her inner self and reached out to hug him, still smiling Kevin jumped up into her arms. “I wasn’t sure how you would react seeing me.” Kasia couldn’t talk for tears running down her face and all her emotions breaking out in joyous chorus. Magic was looking surprised at his mum holding her friend and crying, “Mummy are you ok?” Kasia reached down and with Kevin’s aid lifted Magic up between them. Standing there a few moments Kasia beckoned towards the house, settled down in Kasia’s living room Kevin began to tell Kasia what had transpired after he entered Bronski’s office.

Thinking “it wasn’t as if we planned this”, at the same time knowing from the moment she saw Kevin naked in the room after his shower she had yearned for it. Shaking the cobwebs from her mind Kevin and Kasia made their way carefully back down towards the hotel, all the time Kasia’s heart had been pounding in her chest first from the lovemaking and the subsequent feelings it aroused for Kevin and also for the guilt of leaving Beata unprotected. Reaching the hotel Kevin gave Kasia the pass key to the interconnecting doors between the rooms, Kasia entered as quietly as she could. The bed was empty! Oh god no thought Kasia, at the same time spinning around towards the on suite bathroom door as it opened, there stood Beata fully naked in the light of the door. Kasia gently closed the door behind her and spoke softly to Beata, “are you ok? I look around and see the bed empty and thought” as Kasia spoke she walked across to the window and checked it, turning around she was confronted by Beata climbing back into bed, “Kasia you seem to have sat down on some dirt the back of your dress is filthy” Beata was smiling knowing full well she had caught Kasia out. Kasia practically ran from the room mumbling apologies about disturbing her, just as the door was about to close she heard Beata’s last remark, “just to let you know I fall asleep pretty fast and am usually a sound sleeper.” Kasia closed the door and walked over to the window where Kevin was standing smirking with a Cheshire cat grin on his face. Kasia was mortified, both of them were laughing at her, Kevin knew instinctively what Kasia was feeling at that moment, encompassing her in his strong arms he whispered “of course she knows what we were at, she may be young but she’s proved she not altogether stupid” with that Kevin lifted Kasia into his arms and walked her to the king size bed, Kasia still smarting a little from Beata’s observational comment, was just about to protest as Kevin’s lips found hers and at the same time switched off the bed reading lights, the only illumination in the room. With a deep sigh of resignation Kasia surrendered to her emotions for the final time that night. Kasia and Kevin spent the rest of the night entwined in each other’s arms their physical passion spent for the night, at the breakfast table the next morning the atmosphere was a little strained, it wasn’t until Kasia put down her Knife and fork and with a deep sigh turned to Beata. “Have we upset you?” asked Kasia, “No damn it neither of you have upset me, it’s just me being jealous of what you both apparently have, I just wish I could find someone and have what you two have,” Kasia looked at Kevin surprised and Kevin as surprised looked at Beata asking, “what exactly do we have Beata? You think there is more to this than just two old friends spending a relaxing night together?”? Beata smiled at Kasia and looking at both of them as she leaned back in the restaurant chair, “if you two can’t see what’s going on between you then you’re both blind deaf and dumb, or you think everyone else is”.

Their passion spent and collapsing down together they relaxed and let the feelings of their simultaneous orgasm flood over them. It was Kevin that roused first, “we have left Beata to long on her own said”, Kevin dressing as he spoke, Kasia felt a little guilty at leaving the girl unattended and unguarded.

Some sixth sense warned Kasim to look up just as the stranger poked his head above the hill top, Kasim let fly a barrage of shots in his direction causing the stranger to duck back behind the cover of the hill, “ok that’s how you want to play then catch this” the stranger lobbed a small seemingly innocuous object at Kasim’s position below. Having seen the stranger above him and feeling outflanked by him Kasim made a decision to retreat towards the boats and make good his mistake at coming on without proper support. His retreat saved his life as the object a deadly ex-Russian anti-personnel fragmentation grenade exploded just 20 metres behind him, even at that distance he was bowled over but quickly recovered and ran around the small headland out of sight of both Kasia and the stranger. Making good his lucky escape Kasim set off in the speedboat knowing he had little fuel and hoping the group would be more interested in escape than following him. In this alone he was correct at the moment, the stranger stood out on the top of the hill and called down to Kasia by name. Taken aback Kasia peered around the rock she was shielded behind and asked “who are you? And who do you work for”? The stranger stood up and slowly came down the hill carrying weapons in his hand, a large non automatic rifle and a hand gun in his other hand but both were held out clearly for Kasia to see. “I mean you no harm, I have been your guardian angel as it were” the stranger went on to explain the alleyway and Hassan and then the run out to sea to find the group, and watch them from distance to see they made it to Greece safely. Kasia not fully convinced of his words though somewhat mollified that he had interceded and saved both her and Beata’s life on the harbour, she revealed herself but keeping her gun levelled on the stranger she was still dubious about him. “If you two ladies would accompany me over the island we can board my helicopter and I will deliver you safely to mainland Greece” said the stranger. “And who exactly are you that you should make such an offer and who do you actually work for “countered Kasia. The stranger stood smiling and removed his sunglasses and wide brimmed hat that had been covering most of his head, looking directly into Kasia’s stunned eye’s he said” do you forget me so quickly? I am gone only a few years and I am no more to you,” Kasia staggered back it can’t be you? I put three bullets into your chest and you fell into the river and if not already dead then you surely drowned, I stood there for ages searching any last sign of you”. Kevin shook his head “after all we meant to each other you still believed that bastard Bronski over me?” Turning to Beata, “no harm to you miss, but your father is the biggest liar, and in my own humble opinion the worst two timing double, crossing bastard I ever had the sorry chance to meet, of course that is what keeps him so far head of his enemies and makes him so many friends in government” turning back to Kasia “he was speaking to you in your earwig as you shot me that night wasn’t he?” It was more of a statement than a question, Kasia bowed her head and answered very quietly. “Yes he was speaking to me as I shot you, he told me you had another concealed gun and that you were about to shoot me and take the briefcase” Tears had begun to form in Kasia’s eyes she reached forward to hug Kevin, but he backed away a step. Confused now Kasia looked again into his eyes and seen the deep hurt she knew she had put there by distrusting him that night on the jetty at the side of the river in Prague. “Kevin I’m so sorry will you ever forgive me”? There was the longest moment in Kasia’s life as Kevin’s near lifeless eyes stared back at her the question unanswered. It was Beata that broke the silence, “I think I hear the speedboat said Beata” to Kasia’s disappointment Kevin didn’t answer the question, but called to both the girls “come with me to the helicopter” Kasia felt she had been stabbed in the chest but in some ways understood Kevin’s reluctance to answer. From the top of the hill Kevin could see the speedboat making its way towards Cesme,if he had known about the partially ruptured fuel tank he would have followed Kasim to end the struggle there and then, but as it was the helicopter was just able to make the Greek mainland with very little reserve, a dipping in the sea no matter the condition sea not to be looked forward to and Kevin did not want to risk either his passengers or the heavy tote bag at his side. Kevin kept looking down at the bag as if he was worried it would disappear, the bag gave him a feeling of self-confidence, “tools of his trade” as he referred to them. Leaving the small Island of Antipsara behind them it didn’t take long to reach the small private landing strip on mainland Greece.

The gunfight was extremely one sided with Piotrek only able to return spasmodic fire in response to Kasim’s men’s automatic fire, it was a blessing that Piotrek had only a very small scratch from the fusillade that had been coming from the speedboat. Just then Piotrek felt the speedboat bump against the hull of the larger motor cruiser, “make every shot count” thought Piotrek as he prepared for the boarding that would surely come in the next few seconds. He clearly heard Kasim ordering the men aboard, but there was some hesitation among them as none of them were willing to jump into Piotrek’s gun sights, Kasim’s voice was raised in anger as he urged the men onwards into the larger motor cruiser. Two men jumped aboard Piotrek recognised one of them as Hassan and another unknown to Piotrek presumably the speedboat pilot. Piotrek drew a sight first on Hassan because of him being the nearer of the two and dropped him with a double body tap straight to the heart. The second dived for cover behind a low seat in the rear of the cruiser, and not thinking Piotrek sat up a little to get a better shot just as Mutlu opened up on him with the AK47 at point blank range. Piotrek didn’t even have time for a last thought, he died instantly riddled with ten bullets to the body and head. Piotrek’s last shot had seriously wounded the pilot of the speedboat rendering him less than useless to Kasim. Mutlu and Kasim carefully descended into the motor cruiser looking for Kasia and Beata. Having searched thoroughly throughout the motor cruiser and finding no one both the men returned to the main deck it was at this point that Mutlu noticed the holed tank on the speedboat, bringing it to Kasim’s attention he added “should we not call up reinforcement’s and another boat to tow us home”? Kasim seemed to think this over. “No we will wait until we have eliminated the women, men can be a little squeamish about shooting women” remarked Kasim. Mutlu moved over the rocks eastward around the island while Kasim elected to go westward, on reaching the sandy beach on his side Mutlu called to Kasim, “I have footprints in the sand here, both sets of the women’s footprints went this way”. Hurrying back towards the waiting Mutlu Kasim joined him on the sand and both of them began following the tracks eastward around the island, it took only ten minutes before Mutlu pulled Kasim towards the nearby sand dunes and pointing ahead where Kasia and Beata had been attacked by the over flying birds, then raced for the cover of the rocks at a right angle to the beach, just as Mutlu pulled Kasim towards him a shot missed Kasim by only a fraction. “Damn” said Kasia that Kasim has more lives than a cat to be so lucky. Beata agreed but lay quiet in the rocks just behind Kasia where she had placed her for safety, and pretty much out of any direct line of fire,. Kasia held only a .40 Smith and Wesson automatic, a reasonable weapon at close range with good stopping power but pretty ineffectual at the current range, they were outgunned and out classed in firepower, all it took was one of them to pin them down with a semi feed of shots from the AK47 and the other could either get around or make a more frontal attack. Kasia was sure neither had the balls for a frontal attack so she began watching for an outflanking manoeuvre from the two men below. Kasim indicated to Mutlu to begin climbing the rocks above them in an outflanking manoeuvre. Mutlu was taking every precaution he could he climbed over the top of the hill for cover from Kasia’s Smith and Wesson to walk straight into the strange helicopter pilot. Mutlu was at a disadvantage as he had strung the AK 47 across his back to leave both arms free to climb, the stranger spoke with an odd lilting accent “don’t do it” he warned but Mutlu sensing this was his last moment on earth went for the gun anyway. Mutlu never either felt saw or even heard the report from the large calibre gun the holder suddenly drew from underneath his coat. “One down, one to go” the stranger moved to the top of the hill and peered down at the situation below. Kasim had moved position and was in a much better place if for no other reason he might just be able to catch Kasia or the other girl with a lucky shot.

and as an afterthought he reached into the tote bag one last time and pulled out a small but deadly looking object and smiled as he stuffed into the shooting jacket he had worn especially for the occasion. With both Piotrek and the pilot busily engaged just below the deck of the motor cruiser neither of them heard the speedboat carrying Kasim until the last minute. Hakan reached for his hidden pistol, normally on assignment he would have carried a glock pistol but in this instance he had taken a Walther PPK with him, Kasim and his men were armed with the ubiquitous AK47 so loved throughout the Middle Eastern countries as the weapon of choice, unfortunately the ones Kasim had supplied were the Chinese manufactured copies, these although considerably cheaper than the original Russian originals were prone to misfire and block the reloading chamber causing many casualties for those firing the gun as the shell could go off in their face as they worked at reloading it. As it turned out only Kasim himself got off a serious of short bursts as the two boats closed with each other, the pilot being the only casualty, and then being wounded only in the knee, Piotrek threw himself on to the upper deck and began to return fire with his PPK, a lucky shot holed the speed boats fuel tank but ruptured it only, and let fuel spill out behind the boat in its wake totally unnoticed by Kasim’s crew. Kasim’s pilot veered off as Piotrek returned fire and both groups hunkered down ready for the next volley of fire, Piotrek was husbanding his ammunition as he only had one spare clip with him, whereas Kasim had heavier fire power and several reloads. Once again Kasim ordered the speedboat close to the motor cruiser and all of the weapons on his boat now fired as the men had successfully cleared the various obstructions that had impeded them for firing previously. A multitude of shells raked the motor cruiser and Piotrek’s pilot was the first casualty as he rose just above the side transom of the cruiser to return fire to Kasim’s crew. He had been killed outright with a burst of automatic fire from one of Kasim’s henchmen, Piotrek noted the Pilot’s courageous action, knowing the orders he had been given only to take little action in the face of the enemy. Piotrek presumed Kasia would hear the gunfire and take cover and if needs be hide on the island in the hope someone would come and rescue the girls, pinned down as he was, it was impossible to reach the radio to ask for help, walking some distance away and just around a small headland the girls didn’t hear the sounds of the gunfire until there was a lull in the screeching of the seagulls overhead, the birds being angry at having been disturbed by Kasia and Beata off their roosting sites, several of the birds dive bombed the girls and had them running in retreat until Kasia stumbling and falling to the sand called Beata to stop and listen, it was only then that Kasia recognised the unmistakeable sound of the AK47’s, unsure at first what to do, run to aid Piotrek or find a defensible position, Kasia opted for the later and pulled Beata up a small incline among some rocks, what she hadn’t thought of was escape she had blocked herself into the cliff base and had nowhere to run to, on reflection where was there to run to on such a small island? Kasim’s men would hunt until then eventually found and executed them where they found them, Kasia had no illusions about being taken prisoner and returned eventually to Bronski, Beata’s father, she knew both of them would be summarily shot where they were found and left to rot. Kasia’s first thought was Magic! What would happen to her son left on his own to be raised by foster or adopted parents, she was sure her ex-husband wouldn’t want to know as it would impede his lifestyle, and her parents were just verging on the too old to look after a small child, maybe then one of her brother’s would step in to the void and take up point position for Kasia and bring her son up in their own families.

Recalled to Serve part 14

Kasia stopped before boarding the boat and turned to Hakan, “how will I ever be able to repay you”? Sincere as he could see she was Hakan replied. “Don’t worry my precious minister Bronski will foot the bill for my outgoings in aiding the rescue of his beloved daughter, but if you really wanted to you could stay on and we could live here in peace in this idyllic little villa”. Kasia smiled knowing full well her life would be worth nothing in Turkey for some time, “you are a tease Hakan, but I love you for it”, Kissing Hakan she hopped aboard the motor cruiser and it moved off steadily. The pilot explained the basic course he intended to take towards Greece and how he would sail at a fairly leisurely pace to conserve fuel. The first of the range rovers travelling eastwards had just rounded a bend when they were confronted with a road block and six heavily armed men were spaced around them two of them blocking any possibility of retreat, Hakans men had been ordered to give minimum resistance to anyone trying to stop them so they surrendered the vehicle immediately without hesitation seeing the heavily armed group. A call was placed to Kasim asking for instructions regarding the prisoners the ambush party had taken, and explained the disguised guards in the range rover they had stopped. Kasim told his men to strip and tie them up and head back towards the town to assist him. The other range rover heading westwards and towards the airport had been timed to reach the outskirts of the town at approximately the same time as Hakan and Piotrek had expected the first range rover to be stopped in the mountain pass, the second rover was running early now and had been able to reach the main highway without incident or being spotted. But that did not last long as a highway patrol car with an officer in Kasim’s pay pulled the large car to the side of the road. The problem here was the officer had no direct contact with Kasim for instruction, and finding that this car was also a decoy sent out by Hakan and Piotrek. The officer didn’t know what to do as the party had made no obvious resistance to the patrol car pulling them over. Nearly an hour passed before Kasim was made aware of the second decoy, cursing and swearing Kasim, Mutlu, and Hassan jumped into a car they had borrowed and drove like maniacs to the harbour and the speed boat Mutlu had hired. Assuring Kasim the speed boat would overtake the cruiser they set off from the harbour at high speed. Unknown to them a pair of eyes present in the alleyway when Hassan had been drugged watched as they set off. The owner a master of disguise hailed a local taxi and drove to a very small private airfield just outside town, and as the receptionist recalled later she was hard pressed to recall exactly what the tall dark looking man had looked like, and unprecedentedly the video camera above her desk had broken down for a short time, only to come back just after the man who had checked in with the forged credentials had cleared the field. Even the mechanic that showed the pilot to the helicopter was hard pressed to describe him. All he remembered was the large tote bag he had carried, and when the mechanic had offered help he was sternly rebuffed. The copter took off and swung neatly out to sea heading in the general direction of the nearby Island of Kos a favourite day trip for tourist and locals alike. Halfway out towards Kos the helicopter dropped in altitude and roared over the sea at top speed, the pilot wasn’t long picking up the trail of Kasim’s boat as he knew it wold be surely heading directly as possible for mainland Greece, trying to catch up with the others sailing along at am more sedate pace. Unbeknown to Piotrek and company Kasim had reached out to the grounds man that happened to be an nephew of Hassan, while pretending to help moor the motor cruiser Hassan’s nephew had poured 10 litres of saltwater into the fuel tanks, now the sabotage was becoming apparent, the twin inboard diesels began coughing and spluttering, the helmsman steered the cruiser towards a nearby island, this was one of the smaller uninhabited ones that had been set aside for conservation purposes and few if at all any people ever actually landed there. It was a beautiful day so there was no real hardship to sit in the boat and watch as Piotrek and Hakans pilot tried to fathom out what was wrong with the boat. The girls sat chatting and having a soft drink, after a while they told Piotrek they would have a stroll across the sandy beach to cool off and look around, warning them not to go too far Piotrek never lifted his head from the engine bay. At the altitude the helicopter currently sat at about 100 metres above the sea the mysterious pilot had a much better view of the sea ahead than the crew of the boat in which Kasim and his henchmen currently roared across the wave’s in. driving off to the side so he wouldn’t be as noticeable the pilot came around the back of the small island Piotrek and the girls were stranded on, landing in a flat area of beach out of sight of the stranded party the Pilot reached into the tote bag he carried with him, “hmmm four in the chase boat! I think this and this and perhaps this should do nicely,”
